Values Of Open Source Ministry
This is the power of 'us.' By giving power to thousands of users like you, we all have the power to build up the body of Christ around the world by providing free, high quality, easy to use resources for all areas of ministry.
"May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples." (Gen. 28:3, NIV)
Continual improvement by 1000s of people like you will lead to excellence of content.
"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom." (Eccl. 9:10 NIV)
In a world where everybody is trying to make a buck off you, we believe in freely sharing what God has entrusted us with. By each of sharing what we have spent hours developing, there will be access to 1000's, mabe millions of hours worth of work on this sight.
"A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. " (Prov. 11:25 NIV)
This site is for free LEGAL resources. Please do not submit any copyrighted work without permission. Thousands of people volunteering and working together should be able to blow copy righted material out of the water. If Wikipedia can do it for knowledge, we can do it for ministry! (for policy on giving credit see below)
"The man of integrity walks securely, but he who takes crooked paths will be found out." (Prov. 10:9, NIV)
This goal of this sight to help unleash your own creativity, rather than serve as a crutch for lack of planning. Take what you find and make it own, then come back and share either by improving the orginal resource or by treating it as a whole new resource (for example, I have used online sermons as starting points before, but after I'm done with it, it is a very different sermon)
"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland." (Is. 43:19, NIV)
Diversity in Christ
This site celebrates diversity with in the body of Christ. For this site, Christian is loosely defined as followers of Christ who believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, God is love, and Jesus Christ is God's Son who died and was raised again to give us eternal life.
"So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others." (Rom. 12:5, NIV)
